Asbestos & Lead Paint Encapsulation: Safe Solutions for Hazardous Materials

Asbestos and lead-based paint are two hazardous materials that are commonly found in older
buildings. Exposure to asbestos and lead can cause serious health issues, including lung
cancer, mesothelioma, and lead poisoning.

Liquid Encapsulation is a process that safely seals these materials, preventing them from
releasing hazardous fibers into the air. In this article, we'll discuss a simple and straight forward
solution using Rust Grip® to encapsulate lead-based paint, asbestos, or other hazardous
materials, without the need for sandblasting or containment.

One-Coat Paint System Encapsulates Lead-Based Paint and
Eliminates Sandblasting

Sandblasting is a common method for removing lead-based paint and asbestos from surfaces.
However, it can be dangerous for workers and can release hazardous fibers into the air. Our
one-coat paint system provides a safe and effective alternative to sandblasting. It encapsulateslead-based paint and asbestos, eliminating the need for sandblasting. Our Rust Grip paint
system is easy to apply and dries quickly, allowing for fast turn-around times.

Why is lead dangerous?

Lead is a toxic metal that can cause serious health problems, particularly in children and
pregnant women. Exposure to lead can cause damage to the brain and nervous system,
resulting in developmental delays and learning difficulties. Lead can also cause anemia, kidney
damage, and reproductive problems.

Why is asbestos dangerous?

Asbestos is a fibrous mineral that was commonly used in construction materials until the 1980s.
When asbestos fibers are inhaled, they can cause serious health issues, including lung cancer,
mesothelioma, and asbestosis. These conditions can take years to develop and often have a
poor prognosis.

RUST GRIP® encapsulates lead-based paint, asbestos, or hazardous materials

Rust Grip® is a high-performance coating that can encapsulate lead-based paint, asbestos, or
other hazardous materials. It forms a tight seal that prevents fibers from escaping into the air,
protecting both workers and building occupants. Rust Grip® is easy to apply and can be used
on a variety of surfaces, including metal, concrete, and wood.

Lead-based paint

Lead-based paint was commonly used in homes and buildings until the 1970s. When lead-
based paint deteriorates, it can release lead dust into the air, which can be harmful if inhaled.
Encapsulation is a safe and effective method for sealing lead-based paint, preventing it from
releasing hazardous fibers. Rust Grip® can be used to encapsulate lead-based paint on a
variety of surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and floors. Rust Grip® is the only coating which
can be applied to rusted lead paint.

Rust Grip® - The Ultimate for Encapsulation

Rust Grip® is the ultimate solution for encapsulating hazardous materials, including lead-based
paint and asbestos. It forms a permanent seal that protects workers and building occupants from the harmful effects of these materials. Rust Grip® is easy to apply, dries quickly, and can be used on a variety of surfaces. If you're looking for a safe and effective method for encapsulating hazardous materials, Rust Grip® is the solution you've been looking for.
