Surface: Steel cover of hardening furnaces
Purpose: Prevent heat radiation and save energy

Initially furnace was cleaned to remove grease and dirt. Then HOT SURFACE COATING was applied in 2 layers (total thickness = 3mm). When dry, surface was sealed with a silver grey color paint.

Initial surface temperature on the doors: 212°F (100°C)
After 3mm HSC: 149°F (65°C) – Reduced surface temperature by 35%

Initial surface temperature on the rest of the furnace: 149°F (65°C)
After 3mm HSC: 113°F (45°C) – Reduced surface temperature by 31%
