Project Description

Customer wanted to prevent heat penetration from outside in their new building. 16 years after the application a review was done on the effectiveness and durability of the insulation.

Coating Solution

Corrugated metal roof was insulated with SUPER THERM in 1996 – review of the roof was done again in 2006 & 2012.

Results

Currently the insulation still offers the same room temperature and effect after 16 years. A top coat was been applied after 12 years (2008) and room temperature dropped even further.

1996 – prior to application :
Outside Temperature = 96°F (35.5°C)
Insider Temperature = 103°F (39.2°C)

1996 – after application :
Outside Temperature = 96°F (35.5°C)
Insider Temperature = 103°F (39.2°C)

2012 – review of application:
Outside Temperature = 96°F (35.6°C)
Insider Temperature = 88°F (31°C)
