Concrete and Flooring Sealants:
Protection from Damage and Corrosion

When it comes to protecting your concrete and flooring surfaces, sealants are an essential tool
in your arsenal. Whether you need to prevent rust and corrosion, protect against water damage
and humidity, or guard against chemical and solvent exposure, there is a sealant that can
provide the level of protection you need. In this article, we'll explore some of the most effective
and reliable concrete and flooring sealants available, and what makes each of them unique.

Rust Grip®

Rust Grip® is a one-part polyurethane coating that is designed to provide superior protection
against rust and corrosion. It cures quickly and provides excellent adhesion, flexibility, abrasion,
and impact resistance. Rust Grip® is also resistant to chemical solvents and acid splash,
making it ideal for use in harsh environments.

Originally developed for metal surfaces, Rust Grip® has also been found to adhere effectively to
wood, concrete, fiberglass, and many other substrates. It is specifically designed to encapsulate
tightly-bonded surfaces of lead-based paint and other toxic materials, as well as rusted
surfaces, making it a versatile and reliable choice for a wide range of applications.

Enamo Grip

If you're looking for a tough, long-lasting sealant that can withstand even the most extreme
conditions, Enamo Grip is an excellent choice. This two-component polyurethane enamel cures
quickly and provides superior resistance to water, humidity, stains, chemicals, and solvents. It
also offers excellent scuff, mar, and impact resistance, making it ideal for high-traffic areas.

Enamo Grip is especially effective when applied over be over Rust Grip®. It is also resistant to
hail damage and other forms of abuse that can lead to rust and corrosion, and it is completely
UV and weather-resistant, making it suitable for a wide range of exterior applications.

Moist Metal Grip

If you need long-lasting corrosion protection in a constantly wet environment, then Moist Metal
Grip is an excellent choice. This tough, adherent epoxy coating produces hard, yet flexible
coating films that provide excellent chemical and solvent resistance in harsh atmospheres. It
also offers outstanding water and humidity resistance, making it ideal for use in damp or wet
environments.

Moist Metal Grip can be used on a variety of substrates, including carbon steel (phosphated or
non-phosphated), wood, and concrete. It is especially effective in direct-to-metal applications, as
it has been fortified with a highly efficient, non-toxic, rust-inhibitive pigment that provides
exceptional protection against corrosion.

Conclusion

When it comes to protecting your concrete and flooring surfaces, choosing the right sealant is
crucial. By selecting a product that is designed to meet the specific challenges of your
environment, you can ensure that your surfaces remain strong, durable, and resistant to
damage. Whether you need protection against rust and corrosion, water and humidity, or
chemical and solvent exposure, the sealants outlined in this article will solve your challenge.
