The Ultimate One-Coat Industrial Corrosion Protection Coating

Stop rust in its tracks without sandblasting. Rust Grip® is a patented, single-component, moisture-cured polyurethane coating designed for heavy-duty industrial and marine corrosion protection. Engineered with metallic aluminum pigments, it encapsulates existing rust and acts as a primer, mid-coat, and top-coat in a single application.

Solving Industrial Maintenance Challenges

Can I Paint Over Rust Without Sandblasting?

Yes. Rust Grip® solves industrial maintenance issues by eliminating the need for expensive, time-consuming white-metal sandblasting. Asset managers and marine operators face constant challenges with metal degradation, offshore corrosion, and costly surface preparation. Rust Grip securely bonds directly to metal, concrete, masonry, and wood, defending critical infrastructure against chemical solvents, acid splashes, and severe weather.

Core benefits

How Do Moisture-Cured Polyurethanes Perform in High Humidity?

Because Rust Grip® cures by drawing moisture from the air, high-humidity environments actually speed up the rapid curing process. It offers several core advantages for extreme environments:

Minimal Surface Preparation

It is highly surface-tolerant, allowing you to paint directly over firm rust.

All-in-One Application

This self-priming system requires no mixing of Parts A & B.

Versatile Application

It is easily applied via brush, roller, or airless sprayer.

Extreme Heat & Wear Resistance

It withstands continuous surface temperatures up to 325°F after curing.

Long-Term Storage

It features a 3-year shelf life in unopened containers.

Authority and Certifications

What Industry Certifications Does Rust Grip Hold?

Rust Grip® is proudly made in the USA (US Patent 5,695,812) and has been rigorously validated by global industrial entities and standardized testing:

ASTM Lab Testing

It achieved a perfect 10/10 rating in both ASTM B117 (15,000-hour Salt Spray Test) and ASTM D5894 (10,000-hour Cyclic Salt Fog Test).

Petrobras ISO 12944-9 Testing

It outperformed all tested zinc-free, single-component paint systems.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

It was officially designated as the "Best Coating Tested".

Real-World Case Studies

How Does Rust Grip Perform in Real-World Field Tests?

Rust Grip® has documented success on massive public works and industrial projects, proving exceptional ROI

Chevron USA

It was declared the best exterior drill pipe coating after an exhaustive 8-year field test published by The Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Boyd Gaming (Blue Chip Casino Boat)

The operator saved $2,000,000 by utilizing Rust Grip® instead of traditional sandblasting.

Infrastructure Longevity

It has documented 22-year zero-degradation reports on the Kentucky Bridge and extensive use on the Hoover Dam Bridge.

Rust Grip® is proudly made in the USA (US Patent 5,695,812) and has been rigorously validated by global industrial entities and standardized testing:

RUST GRIP is a tough, single component moisture cure polyurethane coating, loaded with metallic pigments for additional strength. In most cases, a white or near white blasting is not required. RUST GRIP is designed to resist chemical solvents and acid splashes; it can be used as a primer or a one coating system.

RUST GRIP can be applied to metal, concrete, masonry and wood. Application can be by airless sprayer or brush/roller. Application thickness depends on surface profile.

Lettes of Recommendation

Letters of Recommendation

"After meeting your company at the Off Shore Arabia Conference in April 2010, we decided to use Rust Grip on the deck of our ABS Class vessel Mubarak Challenger. It has now been over a year, and there are still no signs of corrosion development as originally promised by your company."

Mubarak Marine - Metal Work Boats - Dubai, UAE - Technical Department

"Its been a year since the application of special coating of  1st & 2nd Coat: (Spray) Rust Grip & 3rd Coat (spray) Enamo Grip , the overall results of protection against environmental corrosion by the coatings is very good."

Qatar Navigation - Metal Work Boats - Doha, Qatar - Capt. Frazier Pinto

"I was using it on Al Mafyar LNG Carrier for last few years and it shows excellent performance on hard to maintain areas."

Nakilat - LNG Carriers - Qatar - Capt. Marin Telak

"I try to rustgrip every piece of steel I can, because it really helps us save time and money on maintenance. Once I rustgrip something I do not have to worry about it again. We love your product and we are always trying to make our job easier, and this is one less thing we have to worry about once it is on. The pictures with the rusted, pitted rams are from 2019, where we took them off the aframe, removed the rust, applied the rustgrip and painted them with a one part polyurethane paint."

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Rust Grip

Do I need to mix multiple parts before applying?

No. Rust Grip® is a single-component system that requires no mixing of Parts A and B, saving time on the job site.

How does high humidity affect the curing time?

Unlike traditional coatings, high-humidity environments actually speed up the curing process because the formula draws moisture directly from the air to harden.

What is the maximum surface temperature Rust Grip can withstand?

Once fully cured, Rust Grip® provides extreme heat resistance and can withstand continuous surface temperatures up to 325°F.

What is the shelf life of an unopened can?

Rust Grip® features exceptional long-term stability with a 3-year shelf life when kept in unopened containers.

What is the recommended coverage rate per gallon?

The coverage rate is 90 sq. ft. per gallon for light-to-medium rust requiring two coats. For heavy rust or marine applications requiring three coats, the rate is 61.2 sq. ft. per gallon.

Is sandblasting required before application?

No. Rust Grip® is designed to be applied directly over firm, existing rust, eliminating the need for expensive white-metal sandblasting.

What surfaces can Rust Grip be applied to?

It securely bonds to a wide variety of surfaces, including metal, concrete, masonry, and wood.

How many coats are typically required?

Yes. It is engineered to defend critical infrastructure against chemical solvents and acid splashes.
